Last August when Amelia visited with Dr. Kushner she told him all about how she had learned to ride a bicycle this summer. She told him that she enjoyed it so much that she asked if we could bring her bicycle on the train to NYC so she could ride it to the hospital. Dr. Kushner understood her disappointment in not being able to bring it along and told Amelia that he enjoyed biking too and that he rode his bike to the hospital almost every day. She thought that was just great. About an hour after that conversation Amelia told me that next time we come to NY she wanted to go to Dr. Kushner's house. At first I thought that was kind of an unusual request. When I asked why she said that she wanted to ride her bike home with him. What a great idea! Maybe one day they can do that.
